Forestry Elephants

Elephants have been used in India, Sri Lanka, Burma and Thailand both to haul felled timber from the forests, and to work literally as mobile cranes in the timber yards. Whilst the numbers are now considerably reduced, the practice still continues today. I have images of both India and Burma, showing the totally different methods employed in the two countries.
